Bernd Jeschek

Bernd Jeschek (born January 10, 1949 in Gaal , Styria ) is an Austrian actor , director , screenwriter and musician . Bernd Jeschek has played as a theater actor in many theaters and has worked in over 30 German-language productions in film and television.

Career

Jeschek, is a son of the community doctor Sepp Jeschek. After elementary school in Zeltweg and grammar school in Knittelfeld, he studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz , drama department, graduating in 1972. This was followed by engagements at the Graz Schauspielhaus and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . He has made guest appearances at the Burgtheater Vienna , Volkstheater Vienna , Schauspielhaus Essen, Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, Staatstheater Wiesbaden , Hebbel-Theater in Berlin, Wiener Metropol , Salzburger Landestheater .

At the beginning of his career he took part in several television productions by Axel Corti . From 1988 he was one of the leading actors alongside Heiner Lauterbach in the Austrian episodes of the European television series Eurocops , and he also played numerous roles in German and Austrian television films and series.

He has been working as a freelance actor and director since 1986.

Bernd Jeschek lives in Berlin and Vienna .
