Oliver Dommenget

Oliver Dommenget (* 1966 in Berlin ) is a German film director , cameraman and screenwriter .

Life

Dommenget was born in Berlin in 1966. After an internship at Studio Hamburg and in Theo Rose's camera workshop, he initially worked as a camera assistant and freelance cameraman. Among other things, he was involved in the production of reports, music videos and commercials. From 1997 he wrote screenplays and also made his own short films such as November (1997) and Verrat (1999). The latter was awarded the German Film School Prize in bronze. From 1998 to 2000 Dommenget studied film directing at the University of Hamburg .

In 2002 Dommenget gave with help, I'm a boy! (2002) made his feature film debut. He then directed numerous television films and series, including episodes of the crime series METRO - A Team for Life and Death , the ZDF series Im Tal der wild Rosen and the lawyer series Der Dicke with Dieter Pfaff . In 2014 Dommenget was awarded the German TV Crime Prize for nothing like before .
