Salah Abu Zaid

Salah Abu Zaid (born April 21, 1923 ) is a former Jordanian politician and diplomat .

Life

Salah Abu Zaid was Minister of Information in the second cabinet of Prime Minister Bahdschat at-Talhuni between 1964 and 1965 and held this office again in 1967. From 1967 to 1968 he was again Minister of Information and Minister for Tourism and Antiquities in the third cabinet of Prime Minister Bahdschat at-Talhuni. After briefly serving as Ambassador to the United Kingdom in 1969 , he held the posts of Minister for Information, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Minister of Culture between 1969 and 1970 in the fourth cabinet of Prime Minister Bahdschat at-Talhuni.

As the successor to Abdullah Salah , Salah Abu Zaid was appointed Foreign Minister in the cabinet of Ahmad al-Lawzi in 1972 and held this office until 1973. In 1974, as part of a government reshuffle, he was again Minister of Information in the first cabinet of Prime Minister Zaid ar-Rifaʿi , and until 1976 he was again Minister of Culture. Most recently he was ambassador to the United Kingdom again between 1976 and 1978.
