The Salar de Aguas Calientes III , also known as Salar de Talar in its southern part, or also known as Salar de Purisunchi, is a salt marsh in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile . It is embedded in the high Puna east of the Caichinque volcano about 55 km south of the Socaire oasis in the municipality of San Pedro de Atacama .

The Salar de Aguas Calientes III is the depression of a drainless water catchment area of ​​501 km² with 13 tributaries. It has a total area of ​​46 km² with an open water area of ​​2.5 km².
