Salisbury steak

As Salisbury steak or English Salisbury steak refers to various ground meat dishes from beef as variants of steaks . The term stands for a slice of beef and not the fillet steak of the same name . To prepare comminuted meat originally by hacking , as evidenced by Wolfen or boats was replaced. The inventor is considered to be James Salisbury , an American doctor and inventor of the 19th century.

Mix the minced meat with beef kidney fat , egg , breadcrumbs and capers . Then you season and shape it and then grill it. When preparing " smothered onions " in North America, you cover the fried slices with fried onions and steam them in demiglace .

Alternatively, mix the minced meat with smoked bacon , onions , sweet peppers and parsley . For another variant (North American) you mix minced meat with onion cubes, season it and shape it into a square. Then you wrap the slices in a pork net, grill them and finally cover them with fried onions. For this purpose, cream sauce consumed.
