The Salisbury Plain is a small plain on the north coast of South Georgia . On the shores of the Bay of Isles , it lies between the Grace and Lucas glaciers .
The name of the plain is first found on a 1931 British Admiralty map based on the Discovery Investigations survey work carried out between 1929 and 1930. It is probably named after the Salisbury Plain in southern England.
