The Salyut-6 Nunatak ( Russian: Нунатак Салют-6 Nunatak Salyut-6 ) is a nunatak on the Hillary Coast in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises west-northwest of Brosnahan Island on the western edge of the Ross Ice Shelf .

Russian scientists named it after the Salyut 6 space station .
