Sally Mene

Sally Mene (born Flynn; born December 2, 1949 ) is a former New Zealand discus thrower and javelin thrower .

At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 , she was seventh in the discus throw and eighth in the javelin throw. Four years later she was seventh in discus throw and eleventh in javelin throw at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch in 1974.

She was New Zealand champion in javelin throwing six times (1965, 1966, 1968, 1970, 1973) and three times in discus throwing (1970, 1971, 1974). Her personal best in the discus throw of 49.44 m she set on January 17, 1970 in Christchurch .
