Solomon bar Samson
Solomon bar Simson von Mainz (presumably identical to the chronicler often also called Salomo bar Simeon ) was a Jewish chronicler of the 11th / 12th centuries. Century.
Around 1140 he wrote the story of the Jewish martyrs of Worms , Mainz , Speyer and Cologne as well as the later defeats of the crusader armies in Hungary and Byzantium .
The chronicle was later expanded to include an account of the persecution of the Jews by Blois (1171).
