Salto.bz is a news and community portal in South Tyrol .
The website is the first bilingual South Tyrolean online news portal and has been online since 2013. It offers information, commentary and analysis with a focus on politics, economy, the environment and social issues. The website allows registered users to provide their own contributions ( user-generated content ) in the form of articles and to participate in discussions with a comment function.
Salto.bz was founded by the Demos2.0 cooperative , which also acts as publisher and has its legal and tax headquarters in Bolzano .
The editorial office of salto.bz is based in Bolzano. The focus of reporting in German and Italian is on regional information, which is supplemented by reports from Italy and international news.
Salto.bz is considered a progressive medium that has emerged through numerous background reports and which is of great socio-political importance in the South Tyrolean media sector.
