Salvador is a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Ribeira de Pena . 2411 inhabitants live in it (as of June 30, 2011). It represented the actual municipality of the district town of Ribeira de Pena.

On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Salvador (Ribeira de Pena) and Santo Aleixo de Além-Tâmega were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Ribeira de Pena (Salvador) e Santo Aleixo de Além-Tâmega .
