Salvatore Cascio

Salvatore Cascio (also Totò Cascio ; born November 8, 1979 in Palazzo Adriano ) is an Italian actor .

Cascio is the son of a Sicilian car dealer. After his first television appearances on the Maurizio Costanzo Show , he suddenly gained notoriety with his film role in Cinema Paradiso . For his role as a child “Totò”, to whom the old projectionist can convey his love for the cinema, which he filled with irresistible sympathy and delicious facial expressions. He won the British BAFTA film award for it . For another three years Cascio was quite active and in demand, but was unable to build on his earlier success. With a few exceptions, he therefore concentrated again on his private life and his education from 1992 onwards.

Cascio runs the restaurant “L'Oscar dei Sapori” in his hometown.
