The former mayor of Hallstatt, Peter Scheutz, was the artistic director of the Salzkammergut Mozart Festival. The artistic direction was in the hands of the Hallstatt composer and conductor Peter Wesenauer , who also headed the Sinfonietta da Camera Salzburg festival orchestra . The musical director for Bad Goisern was the piano virtuoso and director of the Bad Goisern State Music School Dr. Peter Brugger.

Beginnings

The original idea behind the Mozart Festival was to artistically honor the genius with family roots in the Inner Salzkammergut once in the Mozart year 2006. However, this developed into an event that recurs every July and August.
