Sam Fell

Sam Fell (born November 22, 1965 in Isle of Sheppey , England ) is a British film director , screenwriter , voice actor and animator who was nominated for an Oscar in 2013 .

Life

Sam Fell first worked as a director, screenwriter and voice actor for the animated short television film The Big Cheese in 1992 . In 1996 he created his second animated short film Pop, which was recorded using stop-motion technology . His last short film, Chump , was named Best Animated Short at the Seattle Underground Film Festival in 2002. In the following years he was the director of the films Flutsch und weg (2006), Despereaux - Der kleine Mäuseheld (2008) and ParaNorman (2012). For the latter, Fell received an Oscar nomination in the Best Animated Feature Film category at the 2013 Academy Awards .
