Samantha Murray (born September 25, 1989 in Preston ) is a British pentathlete .

Career

Samantha Murray took the first time in 2012 in London at the Olympic Games in part. She finished second behind Laura Asadauskaitė and thus won the silver medal. In 2016 she finished the Olympic competition in Rio de Janeiro in eighth place.

So far, she has won the title three times at world championships . In 2012 and 2013 with the team, and in 2014 individually. There are also second places in 2010 and 2014 with the team and in 2016 with the relay. In 2012 she was third in the individual. Murray was in 2013 at the European Championships with the team and the mixed relay European champion.

In 2012 she graduated from the University of Bath in French and Politics.
