The Sambe language (ISO 639-3: xab) is an almost extinct platoid language that is spoken by only six people in the village of Samba in the Nigerian state of Kaduna , which is about ten kilometers west of the city of Agamati .
Most of the Sambe speakers have switched to English , Nigeria's official language. Some can also use Ninzo as a second language.
The language was only recognized as a language in 2007 and is in the classification of the Niger-Congo language family within the group of East Benue-Congo languages .
