Samim Uygun (born January 1, 1939 - December 25, 2017 in Fethiye ) was a Turkish football player .
Athletic career
In the club
Samim Uygun began his career with Feriköy SK in the 1959/60 season. After just one season, the player and Feriköy SK parted ways. In the summer of 1960, Uygun went to Galatasaray Istanbul . In his first season for the yellow-reds , he came to 23 league games and scored two goals; in the following season there were eight appearances and he was Turkish champion. After this season he ended his career early.
In the national team
In the summer of 1960 Uygun was appointed to the squad of the Turkish Olympic team and took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics with them. Here he played two of his team's three games.
