Samson Landmann

Samson Landmann (born December 8, 1816 in Ansbach , † November 14, 1899 in Fürth ) was a German doctor and local politician.

Career

The Jewish doctor Landmann initially worked as a general practitioner, and from 1882 as a hospital doctor in Fürth. In 1869 he was elected to the community council of the city of Fürth and was its first chairman for 22 years. In 1881/82 he was a member of the district council of Middle Franconia .

When he retired from political life in 1891, he was "because of its high contribution to the prestige of the urban bodies" for honorary citizen of Fürth appointed. A street in Fürth bears his name.
