Hans Mollier

Hans Mollier (born July 31, 1895 in Munich ; died December 31, 1971 there ; pseudonym Johann Lachner ) was a German diplomat in the time of National Socialism , journalist and writer.

Career

The son of anatomy professor Siegfried Mollier and Hedwig Riemerscheid graduated from the Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich in 1914 and became a soldier in the First World War , during which he was promoted to lieutenant. He studied art history and composition theory and graduated with a doctorate in 1927. He also worked as a bank clerk from 1923 and in 1924/25 in the advertising department of Piper Verlag . From 1927 to 1930 he wrote for the features section of the Munich-Augsburger Abendzeitung . Then he went to Rome as a correspondent for the Telegraph Union (since 1934 the German News Office ), where in 1935 he became the press attaché of the German embassy. On October 1, 1934, he joined the NSDAP and became head of the press office of the National Group Italy of the NSDAP / AO . Since July 1935 he was a member of the SA , which promoted him to Sturmbannführer on January 30, 1939 . From September 1943 he headed the press department under the envoy Rudolf Rahn in the office of the Plenipotentiary of the Greater German Reich at the Italian Fascist National Government in Salò .

Nothing is known about his internment and denazification after the end of the war. From 1948 he wrote, also under the pseudonym Johann Lachner, for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and became head of the arts section. He also published several books under the pseudonym, including an illustrated dictionary of the Bavarian language .

Mollier was married to the writer Lore Enderle for the second time.
