The Samsung Gear Live is the only smartwatch from Samsung to date with Android Wear and the fifth model in the Samsung Gear range . It is dust and waterproof, has a square 1.63 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 320 × 320 pixels and measures 37.9 × 56.4 × 8.9 mm³ with a weight of 59 grams. In contrast to LG's only competitor at the time , the LG G Watch , it has a heart rate monitor . Furthermore, it has a 30.6% higher resolution despite the same display size. But the battery of the LG G Watch lasts much longer. The two watches differ only slightly in the other technical data. The processor is clocked at 1.2 GHz. The device has 512 MB RAM, 4 GB flash memory and a battery with 300 mAh.
Availability
The Gear Live was presented together with the LG G Watch at the Google I / O developer conference in June 2014 and was then only available in the USA and Canada for the time being. There you paid 199 US dollars through the Google Play Store . In July, other countries such as Australia , France , Germany , India , Ireland , Italy , Japan , South Korea and Spain were added. In Germany, like the LG G Watch, it is offered in the Google Play Store for 199 euros.
