Samuel D. Warren
Samuel Dennis Warren ( 1852 - February 20, 1910 in Dedham , Massachusetts ) was an American lawyer and attorney.
Warren studied law at Harvard Law School and graduated in 1877 as the second best of the class. Together with his friend Louis Brandeis , the best of the year in 1877, he founded the Boston law firm Nutter McClennen & Fish in 1879 .
In 1890 their joint article The Right to Privacy appeared in the Harvard Law Review , which established the concept of privacy in the USA and continues to shape it today.
He was married to Mabel Bayard, daughter of Thomas F. Bayard , and had six children.
