Samuel Wembé

Samuel Wembé (* 1947 , † 12. April 2020 in Douala ) was a Cameroonian politicians , football functionary and businessman.

Career

Wembé was a member of the party Cameroon People's Democratic Movement deputy and senator in the Cameroonian parliament. He was also involved as a football official. Among other things, he was president of the Racing Bafoussam club , but also of the regional association of the Cameroon district of Wouri , league president of the Association of Western Cameroonian Leagues and, most recently, administrative work for the Fédération Camerounaise de Football . In addition to his public duties, Wembé worked as an entrepreneur in the import and export business.

In April 2020, Wembé died at the age of 73 as a result of a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
