content

The boy Hachimaru finds it harder to achieve his dream of becoming a samurai than almost anyone else. He is very weak from birth and tied to a machine that his father designed for him. He continues research in order to one day build a machine for his son with which he can get out of the house and even become a samurai. But that's what Hachimaru has been waiting for a long time while he spends his internet time playing an online samurai game and with his mechanical dog Hayataro. One day he brings a Daruma into the house, which Hachimaru paints in the eye. The Daruma comes to life and announces to the boy that he has been chosen through the game to become a real samurai. At that moment they are attacked by a Rōnin who takes Hachimarus father hostage and demands the samurai sword "Dojikiri Takatsuna". In order to bring out the blade and save his father, Hachimaru must kill himself. The sword appears from his body and to everyone's surprise, Hachimaru is reborn through the sword. He gets a new body with which he can become a samurai. So he can finally go on a journey with Hayataro and get to know life as a samurai.
