San'Petru di Panicala
San'Petru di Panicala, French Saint-Pierre de Panicala, is the name of a Romanesque chapel in Corsica . Its remains in the form of a preserved apse , the nave is largely destroyed, are in the municipal area of Furciolu (French Forciolo ), about one kilometer northeast of Zigliara .
The construction of the church is likely to have taken place during the rule of the Pisans over the island (see History of Corsica ) in the 13th century. A number of details typical of the time have been preserved. There are several similar relics of the Romanesque period in the area of the municipalities of Azilone-Ampaza , Forciolo and Zigliara , but San'Petru is comparatively central.
