The municipality of San Jorge is located in the department of San Martín in the Argentine province of Santa Fe and has 16,303 inhabitants ( INDEC , 2001). San Jorge was founded on December 13, 1886 by the governor José Gálvez. On July 21, 1961, San Jorge was declared a city.
The municipality is 270 km from Córdoba , 180 km from Rosario and 152 km from the provincial capital Santa Fe .
