The San Jose Stealth were a team from the North American National Lacrosse League (NLL) and were based in San José , California . The franchise was originally founded in 2000 under the name Albany Attack and was relocated to San Jose in 2004. In 2009 the team moved to Washington, where the Washington Stealth was founded, which was active from 2010 to 2013.

history

From 2000 to 2003 the team was based in Albany , New York . There it could only qualify once for the play-offs and reached the final of the Champion's Cup . In 2004 the San Jose Stealth went into their first season and were the second best team of the regular season. In the playoffs, however, they failed in the first round at the eventual champions Calgary Roughnecks .

Then things went downhill for the team and they ended the 2005 season as the worst team in the regular season. Player Ryan Boyle was named Rookie of the Year after the season . In 2006 , only the newly formed Edmonton Rush were worse. The biggest problem was the stealth offensive, which scored too few goals because the team can keep up with the best teams in terms of the number of goals conceded.

In their last season in 2009 , San Jose Stealth failed only in the final at the Calgary Roughnecks . After the season, the club moved to Washington, where he was active for four seasons as Washington Stealth .
