San Juan is a small village in northwest Argentina . It belongs to the Iruya department in the Salta province and is 7 km north of the village of Iruya , 3 km northeast of the village of San Isidro and 4 km west of the village of Chiyayoc .

San Juan belongs to the Finca el Potrero. The village has a school (escuela N ° 4443) and lives from tourism and agriculture. In San Juan, potatoes and corn are grown and geese, goats and sheep are raised.

From Iruya , San Juan can be reached in about 5 hours via a steep footpath in parts.

Events

The patronage festival takes place on February 2nd .
