Sandra Konstane Nygård Borch (born April 23, 1988 in Lavangen ) is a Norwegian politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp). She has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

From 2007 to 2011 Borch sat in Lavangen's municipal parliament . She got involved in the youth organization Senterungdommen , where she was a member of the board from 2009 and deputy chairwoman from 2010 to 2011. In the years from 2011 to 2013, she finally headed the party youth. During this time there was a dispute in 2012 with the then Senterpartiet boss Liv Signe Navarsete . Borch previously stated that Ola Borten Moe would be a suitable candidate for the party chairmanship if Navarsete were to step down, which Navarsete publicly expressed angry. Narvasete finally apologized for what she did.

In 2011, Borch was elected to the Fylkesting of what was then Troms Province, and in 2012 she received a Master's degree in law from the University of Tromsø . In the Saturday election 2013 she stood for her party in the constituency of Gáisi. In 2015 she was elected to Tromsø's local parliament in the 2015 local elections and she started working as a lawyer in the city.

Borch entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2017 general election . There she represents the constituency of Troms and she became a member of the Energy and Environment Committee.

In 2019 Borch took part in the TV show Skal vi danse . Before that she was part of TV shows like Haterne .
