Ola Borten Moe (born June 6, 1976 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp). From March 2011 to September 2013 he was the energy minister of his country.

Life

Borten Moe, a grandson of the former Prime Minister Per Borten , worked as a farmer in addition to his studies .

His political career began as a candidate of Senterpartiet 1995 when he became a member of the city council was elected by Trondheim. After he was a deputy member in Storting from 2001 and 2005 , he moved into parliament in 2005 as a properly elected member of the constituency of Sør-Trøndelag . From October 2007 to September 2009 he was the chairman of the Economic Committee. In the 2013 election , he did not move into parliament again.

On March 4, 2011, he was appointed Minister-President Jens Stoltenberg 's Oil and Energy Minister to succeed Terje Riis-Johansen . He held the post until the resignation of the government on October 16, 2013.
