Odd Roger Enoksen

Odd Roger Enoksen (born September 25, 1954 in Andenes ) is a Norwegian politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp). He was local and regional minister from March 1999 to March 2000 and minister for oil and energy from October 2005 to September 2007. From 1999 to 2003 he was chairman of the Senterpartiet.

Life

Enoksen completed his training as an agronomist in 1975 , after which he worked as a farmer until 1985. He then worked in the peat product industry until 1993 . From 1978 to 1993 he was a member of the Andøy municipal parliament , from 1986 to 1987 and 1991 to 1993 he was the deputy mayor of the municipality.

In the parliamentary elections in 1993 he moved for the first time for Nordland in the Norwegian national parliament in Storting and he worked as deputy secretary of the parliament until September 1997. He then served as chairman of the economic committee until March 1999. Enoksen also acted as deputy chairman of his party between 1997 and 1999 and was then the first chairman of the Senterpartiet until 2003.

On March 16, 1999, he was appointed local and regional minister in the Bondevik I government. He held the post until the departure of the government on March 17, 2000. Then he again exercised his mandate in parliament, which he had to suspend as a member of the government and was the parliamentary group leader of his party until March 2003. In 2005 he finally resigned from parliament. In the Jens Stoltenberg II government , he was the oil and energy minister of his country between October 17, 2005 and September 21, 2007.
