This is a list of Norway's energy ministers . Energy ministers have been appointed since 1978. Up until 1993, energy ministers were located in the Ministry of Oil and Energy ( Olje- og energidepartementet ). From 1993 to 1997 they worked in the Ministry of Economics and Energy . Since 1997, the associated ministry has been under the old name again. Tina Bru from the conservative party Høyre has been the current Minister for Oil and Energy since January 2020 .
