Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen
Anne-Grete Hjelle Strøm-Erichsen (born October 21, 1949 in Bergen ) is a Norwegian politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party . Since October 17, 2005, she has been Minister in Jens Stoltenberg's second cabinet , initially for Defense , and since October 20, 2009 for Health and Welfare . On September 21, 2012, she returned to the Ministry of Defense as part of a major ministerial rogue.
Strøm-Erichsen was a member of the Bergen City Council from 1991 to 2000. She was the deputy mayor from 1998 to 1999, then mayor of the city until 2000. From 2000 to 2003 she was finally the chairwoman of the city government ( Byråd ). Then she sat again on the city council until 2005.
From 2005 to 2013 she was a member of parliament in Storting .
She was president of the Organization of World Heritage Cities .
