Sandra von Klaeden

Sandra von Klaeden , born Kuban , (* 28. April 1969 in Munden ) is a German lawyer and politician of the CDU . She has been President of the Lower Saxony State Audit Office since 2016 .

education

Von Klaeden grew up in Hanover. She studied law at the University of Hanover and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. The topic of the dissertation was "The right of safekeeping and accommodation using the example of the laws for the insane between 1794 and 1945". She passed her first state examination in 1993 and completed her legal clerkship in 1995 in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Celle .

Career

Sandra von Klaeden held various positions in the Lower Saxony state parliament and since 2003 in the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior. From March 24, 2010 to 2013, she was State Secretary of the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport in the Wulff II cabinet and in the McAllister cabinet . As State Secretary, she was also Chief Information Officer for Lower Saxony.

From 2013 she headed Department 5 in the Lower Saxony State Audit Office . On March 9, 2016, she was elected President of the State Audit Office. She took office on July 1, 2016.

Private

Sandra von Klaeden is a Protestant and married. She is the sister-in-law of Eckart von Klaeden .
