Cabinet Wulff II
The Wulff II cabinet formed the state government of Lower Saxony from February 26, 2008 to July 1, 2010 . Christian Wulff became Prime Minister again on February 26, 2008 and thus head of the state government of Lower Saxony . elected. The cabinet was also appointed on February 26, 2008.
After the resignation of Prime Minister Christian Wulff due to his election as Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany on June 30, 2010, the state government was now in office in accordance with Section 33 of the Lower Saxony constitution . Deputy Prime Minister Jörg Bode (FDP) took over the office until the next day, when the successor David McAllister was elected .

Changes
As announced, Walter Hirche resigned from his post as Minister for Economics, Technology and Transport and Deputy Prime Minister in February 2009. His successor was Philipp Rösler. After the election success of the Union and FDP in the 2009 federal elections , he moved to the Merkel II cabinet as health minister , and Jörg Bode succeeded him in the state government.
On April 17, 2010 Christian Wulff announced that four of the seven CDU-led ministries would reshuffle the cabinet, and on April 27, 2010 the new ministers were officially appointed and confirmed by the state parliament. The Brandenburg opposition leader and former Minister of Science Johanna Wanka replaces Minister of Science Stratmann, and Aygül Özkan, MP from Hamburg, succeeded Minister of Social Affairs Mechthild Ross-Luttmann. The Bundestag member Astrid Grotelüschen replaced Heiner Ehlen as Minister of Agriculture, the previous Secretary of State for Culture, Bernd Althusmann, took over Elisabeth Heister-Neumann's role as Minister of Education.
