Schröder II cabinet (Lower Saxony)
The Schröder II cabinet formed the Lower Saxony state government from June 23, 1994 to March 30, 1998 . The cabinet in the previous electoral term was supported by a red-green coalition. Thanks to the state elections on March 13, 1994 , the SPD had a wafer-thin absolute majority of state parliament seats (81 out of 160 seats) and was able to govern alone without a coalition partner.
