Sangidordschiin Sansargereltech

Sangidordschiin Sansargereltech ( Mongolian Сангидоржийн Сансаргэрэлтэх , * 1969 in Ulaanbaatar ) is a Mongolian composer.

As a child, Sansargereltech had piano lessons from his father, the composer Tschoigiwiin Sangidordsch . From 1977 to 1985 he studied piano with Lodoidambyn Nasanbat and composition with Sembiin Gontschigsumlaa at the music school in Ulaanbaatar . He continued his piano training at the Music Academy with Puntsagin Pagma and from 1989 studied composition with Albert Leman and piano with Jelena Saweljewa at the Moscow Conservatory .

This was followed by postgraduate studies with Leman and from 1997 to 1999 at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música in Madrid with Antón García Abril . In 1999 he was honored for the best piano work at the Ulaanbaatar Autumn Festival. The ballad for Mongolian instruments and chamber ensemble Khara-Khorum was commissioned in 2000 for Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Project . Sangidorj lives in Mongolia and the USA.
