Sembiin Gontschigsumlaa
Sembiin Gontschigsumlaa ( Mongolian Сэмбийн Гончигсумлаа ; born February 18, 1915 in Bajanchongor ; † February 25, 1991 in Ulaanbaatar ) was a Mongolian composer and conductor.
Gontschigsumlaa studied in Ulaanbaatar and Irkutsk and worked in his home country as an interpreter, teacher and veterinarian. He studied composition and conducting at the Moscow Conservatory from 1943 to 1950 and was then conductor of the State Music Theater in Ulaanbaatar until 1960. He composed several operas and ballets , a symphony , piano pieces and mass songs.
