Sangsarī ( Persian : سنگسری) is a living Iranian language , which in the Elburz Mountains in the Iranian provinces of Semnan and Tehran is spoken (mainly in Sangsar ). Sangsari is a dialect of Semnani and is closely related to Sorkhei .

classification

While Ethnologue sees Sangsari as a dialect of Semnani , Glottolog classifies Sangsari as a Komisenische language . It is often erroneously said that Sangsari is a Persian dialect, however the languages ​​do not have the same direct ancestry.

Phonology

There are more vowels than in Persian: a, a :, e, e :, i, o, ö, u, u :, the consonants are the same as in other languages ​​that use the Persian script .
