Sanna Ruohoniemi

Sanna Ruohoniemi (* around 1993 ) is a Finnish jazz singer and composer .

Ruohoniemi graduated from the Kungliga Musikhögskolan in Stockholm, the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the Nordjysk Music Conservatory in Aarhus. She lives in Stockholm today.

Her debut album Tales of a Stranger (Eclipse Music 2016) received good reviews from Scandinavian critics. In autumn 2018 she and her band released their second album Start from Nothing on the same label and internationally on Galileo Music with a mixture of Nordic folk and jazz lines. She performed at the Stockholm Jazz Festival as well as at the Sydney International Women Jazz Festival .
