Chiesa Sant'Agostino ( English : Church of St. Augustine) is a Roman Catholic church in the center of Tirano in the Italian province of Sondrio , Lombardy region . The church belongs to the ecclesiastical region of Lombardy , the diocese of Como , and is dedicated to St. Augustine .

The church of Sankt Augustin is structurally part of the Palazzo Marinoni (today the town hall of Tirano) and stands on the corner of Via XX Settembre and Via Sant'Agostino at about 450 m. ü. M. not far from the Adda in the middle of the old town. Originally the church was part of an Augustinian monastery . The church visible today was probably built on the foundations of an earlier Augustinian church.

The building is plain on the outside. Inside it is lavishly executed in the Baroque style. The altarpiece is from the 17th century by G. Gaioni. There are also some paintings from the 17th century depicting episodes from the life of St. Show Nicholas of Tolentino .

The church is still used for worship .
