Sant'Ugo (Rome)
Coordinates: 41 ° 51 ′ 36.7 ″ N , 12 ° 34 ′ 36.5 ″ O Sant'Ugo (Latin Sancti Hugonis ) is a Roman Catholic parish church in Rome . The parish was founded on October 28, 1985 by Cardinal Vicar Ugo Poletti and dedicated to St. Dedicated to Hugo . Pope John Paul II elevated Sant'Ugo to the title church in 1994. The title of the Church has been assigned to the Cardinal Priest Emmanuel Wamala since November 24, 1994.
The church is a voluminous Brutalist- style concrete building with a concrete tower. The interior is dominated by a baroque crucifix and a large mosaic in the chancel depicting scenes from the life of St. Hugo shows. The church is located on Viale Lina Cavalieri 3 in the Roman zone of Castel Giubileo .
