Sant Rafel (official name; often also Sant Rafel de sa Creu or Sant Rafel de Forca , Spanish San Rafael ) is a district of the municipality of Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza . The district has 2156 inhabitants, of which 426 live in the closed town of San Rafel and the remaining 1730 in the surrounding countryside (as of 2011). San Rafel is located on Calle de Eivissa-Sant Antoni (C-731), 7 km from Ibiza Town and 9 km from Sant Antoni.
Sant Rafel is known for its pottery workshops, in the town center you can buy ceramics from local artists. The place is also known for the numerous restaurants and the old fortified church , which tourists like to visit.
