geography
Santa Ana is located in the Canelones department in sector 8 . The place is on the coast of the Río de la Plata between the east bordering Argentino and the west adjoining El Galeón . A few kilometers away, in the northern hinterland of Santa Ana, the Arroyo Tío Diego joins the Arroyo Solís Grande .
