Santa Chiara a Vigna Clara
Santa Chiara a Vigna Clara (Latin: Sanctae Clarae ad Vineam Claram ) is a titular church in Rome .
The church was built from 1959 according to the plans of the architect Alberto Ressa and consecrated on December 25, 1962. Cardinal Vicar Clemente Micara founded the parish on July 11, 1959 by the decree paterna sollicitudine . Pope Paul VI raised it in 1969 to the title church of the Roman Catholic Church . It is also the parish church of the Parrocchia Santa Chiara a Vigna Clara .
The church is the location of the local scout group AGESCI Roma 24. the Associazione Guide e Scouts Cattolici Italiani AGESCI , the association of Catholic scouts in Italy.
The circular, reinforced concrete building corresponds to structures like the old Basilica of Santo Stefano Rotondo . Inside there is a large-scale cycle of paintings by the Spanish painter Mariano Villalta Lapayes.
The church is located on Via Riccardo Zandonai in the Roman district of Della Vittoria near the Piazza dei Giuochi Delfici.
