Santa Maria Madre della Misericordia is a parish church in the Roman district of Prenestino-Labicano on Via dei Gordiani. The church is dedicated to Saint Mary, Mother of Mercy.

history

In 1937 a vicariate from the parish of Santi Marcellino e Pietro ad Duas Lauros was established and on July 15, 1952, the parish was founded by a decree by Cardinal Vicar Clemente Micara . Pastoral care was taken over first by the poor servants of Divine Providence and then by the secular clergy.

On May 1, 1983, the parish was visited by Pope John Paul II .

It was designed by the architect Tullio Rossi in the middle of the 20th century . The outer facade is reminiscent of a hut with a tiled roof. The floor plan is rectangular.
