Christian Mangen (born January 10, 1972 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German lawyer , politician ( FDP ) and member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

biography

Christian Mangen was born on January 10, 1972 in Mülheim an der Ruhr. There he attended elementary school on Hölterstrasse and then the Otto Pankok School, where he graduated from high school in 1991. After graduating from high school, Mangen studied law and economics at the universities of Bielefeld , Cambridge , Düsseldorf and Speyer .

He works as a freelance lawyer in Mülheim and, together with his partners, maintains other legal offices in Duisburg and Krefeld . He is also a member of the administrative board of Sparkasse Mülheim an der Ruhr and is a member of the supervisory board of Abfallentsorgungsgesellschaft Ruhrgebiet mbH. Until 2019, Mangen was a member of the supervisory board of SWB-Service-Wohnungsvermietungs- und -baugesellschaft mbH.

Party and politics

In 1993 Mangen joined the FDP in Mülheim an der Ruhr. He has been district chairman there since 2010. From 2012 he will hold the office of deputy district chairman of the FDP Ruhr. He has been a co-opted member of the FDP's state executive committee since 2014.

Mangen has been a member of the Mülheim City Council since 2009 and resigned his mandate in 2018. Since 2014 he has also been a member of the association assembly in the Ruhr Regional Association .

Mangen ran in the years 2005 , 2012 and 2017 as a direct candidate in the regional elections in constituency 64 - Muelheim I . In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017, he received a mandate on his party's state list. As a full member, he is a member of the Budgetary Control, Legal and Interior Committees.
