Santar is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Arcos de Valdevez . 164 inhabitants lived in the community (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Santar and Guilhadeses were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Guilhadeses e Santar .
