Santi Gioacchino ed Anna al Tuscolano (Latin: Sanctorum Ioachimi et Annae in regione Tusculana ) is a Roman titular church .
overview
The parish was founded on March 1st, 1982 by Cardinal Vicar Ugo Poletti . The church was built from 1982 to 1984 according to a design by the architects Sandro Benedetti and was consecrated on April 12, 1984. On June 28, 1988, the elevation to the title church of the Roman Catholic Church by Pope John Paul II followed. The church is dedicated to Saints Joachim and Anna , the parents of Mary (mother of Jesus) .
The modern church building is designed as an irregular grouping of square and prismatic shapes in white concrete and thus stands in contrast to the surrounding buildings.
The church is located at Viale Bruno Rizzieri 120 in the Roman urban zone of Torre Maura .
