Santiago Ezquerro Marín (born December 14, 1976 in Calahorra , La Rioja ) is a former Spanish football player .

Ezquerro's first big club was the CA Osasuna . About Atlético Madrid and the island club RCD Mallorca came forward in 1998 to Athletic Bilbao . At Bilbao, he played his first UEFA Champions League game on August 12, 1998 (against Dinamo Tbilisi ). The agile and dribbling striker quickly became an indispensable part of the first team. His personal best season was 2004/05, when he scored five goals in seven UEFA Cup games. He was then signed for a free transfer from FC Barcelona .
Since Ezquerro did not get beyond a reservist role at Barcelona, he moved to CA Osasuna at the end of July 2008 , where he ended his career in 2009.
National team
His only game so far in the Spanish national team completed Ezquerro on September 5, 1998 in the qualification for the European Football Championship 2000 against Cyprus (2: 3).
