Sara Ketiš (born September 16, 1996 in Ruše ) is a Slovenian soccer player and karateka .

Career

society

Ketiš started her career at ŽNK Pohorje Ruše and moved to ŽNK Maribor in summer 2010 . In Maribor she has been in the senior team since summer 2011 and made her senior debut on October 9, 2011 in the SŽNL against ŽNK Velesovo Kamen Jerič. In August 2013 she made her UEFA Women's Champions League debut against RTP Unia Racibórz .

National team

Ketiš is a national team player for Slovenia and was appointed by Damir Rob for the first time on August 18, 2014. Before that, she played six UEFA international matches for the Slovenian U-17s and three for the Slovenian U-19 national team.

Personal

Ketiš was a successful karateka from 2008 to summer 2012 at the karate club Selnica ob Dravi. So she took part in the European Junior Championship in the team competition for Slovenia, at the European Youth Championship in Ankara, Turkey. There she earned the black belt and finished seventh overall. Her national soccer team colleague Vanja Šiljak was one of her opponents at the 2008 Junior World Cup in Kobe and Osaka . Ketiš comes from a family of footballers, her father Andrej was a professional footballer, her brother Matic Ketiš was most recently a coach at NK Pohorje .
